My name is Jan and I’m a writer/director based in Amsterdam. I directed various commercials and some short films. ‘A Man Falls From The Sky’ won in 2018 6 awards during the annual Shortcutz festival in Amsterdam, and in 2019 ‘Wild’ won the Méliès d’Or for best European Fantastic short film at Sitges Film Festival, after winning the Méliès d’Argent at Imagine Film Festival earlier that year.
In 2021, my single play for Videoland called INDRINGER and my new short film PANTSER premiered in the competition of the Nederlands Film Festival. PANTSER won the Gouden Kalf for best short film of the year.
Right now I am working on my first feature film, and I’m working on a tv series.
